Israeli Attacks in Gaza Escalate: Hospitals and Civilians Targeted Amidst Conflict
The violence in Gaza continues to escalate as Israeli attacks on northern Gaza claimed at least six lives and left many others injured on Saturday, according to Palestinian sources. Jabalia Refugee Camp: Deadly Airstrikes
In one of the most harrowing incidents, four people were killed and over 15 others were injured when an Israeli airstrike targeted a home in the Tuba area of the Jabalia refugee camp. Shortly after, two more Palestinians lost their lives, and seven others were injured when another strike hit a house belonging to the Saeedi family in the same region.
Hospitals Under Attack
Israeli artillery also struck the upper floors of the Indonesian Hospital, a facility that housed more than 40 patients, injured individuals, and medical staff. The hospital’s director, Marwan Sultan, described the desperate conditions within the facility as it lost electricity, severely threatening the lives of 10 patients who urgently needed oxygen support.
Witnesses reported that the hospital was surrounded by Israeli forces, trapping thousands of displaced civilians in shelters around the hospital. In a separate artillery strike, civilians gathered outside the hospital were also hit, resulting in additional casualties.
Only hours later, Israeli artillery struck the al-Awda Hospital in the Tel al-Zaatar area of Jabalia, further compounding the dire medical emergency in northern Gaza.

The overall death toll in Gaza has surged, with more than 42,000 people reportedly killed by Israeli forces following Hamas’s cross-border incursion. His death follows the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran on July 31.
